Carmen Souza's latest album, Port'Inglês, has not been released yet, but two features in the main German Jazz magazines—Jazzthetik and Jazzthing—give a good insight into it.

JAZZTHETIK Magazin wrote:

"When music is described as ""academic,"" it is rarely meant as praise. Terms like "constructed", "sober" and "schematic" are too swinging. Carmen Souza proves with her album Port'Inglês, however, how emotional, joyful and lively music with academic roots can be. " Jazzthetik
